One of the best things about Missouri is all the quaint and adorable small towns just waiting to be explored. Our family has fallen in love with visiting Arrow Rock, MO for so many reasons that I’m excited to share with you.

My love of Arrow Rock is because of the amazing talent that the Lyceum Theater brings in. If you love plays or musicals, you need to go to the Arrow Rock MO theater.
What kind of shows does the Lyceum Theater have?
All different varieties! During our time there, we were able to see Mary Poppins. (seriously amazing!) But we’ve been so many other times before and watched Beauty and the Beast and The Christmas Carol as well. What I love most about the Arrow Rock MO theater? It’s small, it’s quaint and it’s family-friendly. I love the fact that we can take our children with us to see some true talent and plays. And the cool part? A lot of them are local talent!

What makes the Lyceum Theater so unique?
There isn’t just one thing that sets this theater apart. Everything about the Lyceum Theater is amazing. From the moment that you step through the doors, the ambiance is electric. Everyone there is genuinely excited and wants to be there, often times supporting their friends or family members who are part of the shows.
While we have been numerous times to the Lyceum Theater, I am always impressed by the caliber and quality of the shows. The music is amazing, the acting is superb, the theater is clean and ALWAYS packed and I honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about any of it.
Plus, you can buy wine and cookies before the show! Seriously, how is that not amazing?!

The cool part about visiting this small town is that there are adorable bed and breakfasts all over! How fun is it that you can pair up a show and extend your stay in Arrow Rock, MO by booking a night or two at one of the many bed and breakfasts.

Before venturing over to Lyceum Theater to enjoy a show, make certain that you dine at one of the Arrow Rock, MO restaurants as well.
During our time there, we ate some delicious food at J. Huston Tavern (they are known for their fried chicken) before catching the play at the Lyceum Theater. And while reservations aren’t required, it’s a good idea to call ahead and book on the nights that there is a play at the theater.
Arrow Rock MO Camping
While there are many great lodging options at Arrow Rock, our family decided that staying and camping at Arrow Rock State Park was the best choice for us. And let me tell you, it’s always a great choice to go camping.
The campground at Arrow Rock is clean, quiet and truly enjoyable. The spots are level and we were able to set up our camper with ease. We had so much fun getting ready in our camper before the show at the Lyceum Theater! And honestly, it was really nice to be able to get back to our camper afterward as well since we were located so close!

Planning a trip to Arrow Rock, MO is a must. Make the Lyceum Theater your priority and book a show as soon as possible. I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed at all.
