If you’re looking for a great place to stay while visiting Orange Beach, look no further than RVC Outdoors in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Not only is this a beautiful RV resort, but it’s truly a hidden gem that offers affordable prices for campers, lovely cabin rentals, and all within a short drive to the beach.
This is our new favorite place to stay in the area when we are excited to dip our toes into the sugar-white sands of the beautiful beaches.

Gulf Shores RV Resort is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking for a clean and safe camp site and a great place to be within a 10-minute drive to the beach.
It’s safe to say that planning a vacation along the beautiful Alabama coast is always a good time. But being able to stay at a luxury RV resort and still be close to all the nearby attractions? It’s literally the ONLY way to see the Gulf Coast.
While this was our first time staying at Gulf Shores RV Park, it’s safe to say that it won’t be our last.
I couldn’t believe how beautiful the trees were. I loved seeing them during the daytime and at night.

I really do believe that it’s the best RV park in the area – and I can say this with confidence based on the wonderful camping experience that we had.

When we’re booking a camping vacation or stay, we always peek at what is available to do at the resort.
You never know when Mother Nature will turn everything upside down and change your beach days to campground days!
Gulf Shores RV Park Amenities
With a park this big and beautiful, you know that amenities are important. During our time there, we explored the area and loved having so much to do.
Saline Swimming Pool
This is an outdoor pool that is REALLY big and is also heated. We even went swimming in the water when it was raining, and the pool was so warm and lovely to swim in.
The pool area is kept really clean and perfectly situated close to the playground and pickleball courts.
The shower house/public restroom is located right by the pool area, which is great for ease of use.

Pickleball Court
We’re pickleball obsessed (although we play our own version of pickleball and don’t really follow the “typical” rules) – and we LOVED the courts here.

They were clean and centrally located, and we were able to borrow the paddle and ball from the office area, which was great since we didn’t pack our own.

Bark Park
Close to the club house is the dog park, which is fenced-in and a nice-sized area. It’s a great place to toss a frisbee with the pup and let them burn off some of their excess energy.
Playground
Who needs an amusement park when you have this nice playground, pool, and pickleball court combo all in one area? The playground is easy access for the kids to use at any point in time.

Laundry
When it comes to great amenities, laundry rooms are at the top of my list. This means that I can pack less clothing and wash what I need. (yes!)
Golf Cart Rentals
Rent a golf cart and make some new friends at the park. The roads are paved, and the RV sites are all on concrete pads, so driving around isn’t a problem.
Little Book Library
I’m a sucker for these! We were able to grab a good book and a puzzle – and I loved seeing this as an option during our walks.

Corn Hole Game
Challenge the kids to a game of corn hole. Everything you need is provided. Just aim, throw, and keep score!

Horseshoes
Horseshoes are a MUST when camping – and Gulf Shores RV Park has the perfect set up for you and the family.
Bathhouse
If the kids need to use the bathroom at the pool, the bathhouse and water fountains are right there. This makes it super convenient!
Cable TV
There’s no reason to miss any of your favorite shoes. Cable TV is an option!
Fitness Center
If you’re like me, overindulging is part of the camping experience, so I loved having the fitness center as a simple and easy way to get my workout in.

Retail Store
Having a camp store right on site is great for guests. There were snacks, drinks, and fun items for the kids.
Hot Tub
Adults need to have some fun, too! Taking a dip in the hot tub is easy to do!
Tire Swing
Swinging on the tire swing was one of the daily activities that we didn’t ever skip. The tire swing was in the best place and attached to a GIANT tree, creating a peaceful place that our daughter loved being at.

Large, Flat RV Sites
Having full hookups on flat concrete pads makes this park an easy choice. There really is no need to stress over leveling as the grounds are that perfect.
You have options for back in sites, waterfront sites, and pull-through sites as well.

Cottages/Cabins
Let’s not overlook the fact that they have cabins for anyone who wants to camp without needing a camper. The cabins are within walking distance of all the amenities and come stocked with everything that you need.
We didn’t have to worry about bringing toilet paper and having a full kitchen with pots and pans meant that we could cook every meal, saving a bunch of money, too!
There was plenty of room for cabin guests as the tiny cabins are actually really spacious!

Each cabin had a patio site area with a picnic table, but also a covered porch area to sit in and not stress out over the bugs.

Is there tent camping at Gulf Shores RV Resort?
There is no tent camping at this park, but plenty of RV spots and cabins are available.
Is there a bike path or walking trail?
You can easily take a bike ride all over this campground! The roads are paved and flat and great for pedaling the day away. We also went on a 30-minute walk every day and loved having all the various roads to walk on.

What nearby attractions are there?
The great part about camping here is that you have a TON of options right at your fingertips. Right up the road, you’ll find dozens of restaurants and shopping options.
We drove up 4 miles up the road to Aldi and did our grocery shopping there. There was also a Dollar General really close, as well as other grocery store options.
The Tanger Outlet Mall isn’t far at all if you want to take a break from the sandy beaches and get your shopping on.
And just 7 or so miles up the road, the sugar sands of the Gulf Coast are waiting for you to explore. I actually love staying near Gulf Shores, but not directly on the beaches, because the drive defrags me a bit after a long day.
One other fun bit of information is that if it is rainy while you’re there, The Factory is just about 1 mile away from the resort, and it’s the perfect place for the kids to burn energy and have fun! It’s an indoor trampoline park and climbing gym where kids and adults can all join in on the fun.
During our visit, it was half-price on Wednesday, so it was extremely affordable, and we had unlimited use for 3 hours.
Are there any free family fun activities to do while visiting the Gulf of Mexico?
Since this is such a popular vacation spot, it’s hard to find anything that doesn’t cost. If you can find free parking, dipping your toes in the white sand beaches doesn’t cost a thing!
I highly encourage you to utilize the public beach and just immerse yourself in the area. It’s such a beautiful place to stay – and so much fun to explore.
Don’t forget that there are so many fun activities that are included in the price of your camping stay as well – so utilize them to the fullest!
